Good old traditional English pub.Good hearty food.Cosy & welcoming. Just what I want when I visit the country side. One of those pubs you can just rock up to without having to be suited & booted. Wellies welcome.Glad the new owners didn’t turn it into an expensive posh nosh Queens Arms.

What a charming pub! I was there last night with a group of friends for our regular get together. Crop Circle beer delicious, food superb and the staff were absolutely lovely. What a tremendous bunch and all in an idyllic spot/village. Highly recommend to one and all!

A small country pub in a little village, with 2 comfortable accommodation rooms in the pub and a shepherd’s hut in the grounds above the pub. A bonys is the kingsize beds. The landlord and team were very welcoming, and there was a good selection of food and drink. Work is in progress to make improvements to the ground above the pub to enjoy the views. It is very dog friendly.

Iv stopped here a few times now and it’s a lovely little quiet pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owner Steve is a great host. The room are very clean and comfortable. The pub offers fantastic food, all homemade and the breakfast is one of the best iv had in any hotel. If your looking for a nice quiet place to stop for a few night in Dorset you must stay here.

Excellent Sunday lunch that included a huge portion of beautifully cooked beef for a very reasonable price. Excellent friendly staff and good selection of drinks including alcohol-free for “the designated driver”.

Came to The Mitre Inn for a Sunday Roast and it was fantastic! The food was delicious and plentiful and we didn’t have room for dessert but they looked stunning! The staff are super friendly and kept checking everything was OK with our meal. A gorgeous building in a lovely setting – could not fault it in anyway and we will definitely be returning!

Couldn’t find the menu online and even in the restaurant it’s only on the wall. It’s also worth noting they don’t have a kids menu, just smaller portions of the food available. There is a nice selection of games to play and the staff are very friendly. The wagu burger is 10/10!

Proper pub in a beautiful village. Good choice of ales, excellent pub grub, and a really friendly welcome from staff and locals. The gardens are being substantially improved, as has been the parking. Watch out for the regular music nights. This lovely traditional pub has recently been taken over but retains its village charm.

“Absolutely Fabulous ” Family + 3 dogs, lunch for my wife’s 70th birthday. We were all made very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. All staff were very attentive and the food was superb. Cannot recommend it highly enough. “Dog friendly ” is an understatment”. Thank you.
